Wrestler of the Month

Nick Brugal - Bolton High School

Nick Brugal will be a senior next year at Bolton High School. The Bartlett resident was active throughout the spring, placing third in the Southeast Junior Regional in freestyle at 275 pounds, winning the TWF state freestyle title, and competing in the FILA Junior Nationals at Chattanooga in May. In the NHSCA National Open Championships, he placed sixth. Brugal was the Division I state runner-up last year at 275 after placing fifth in the state at 215 pounds as a sophomore. He is a major reason the heavyweight division will be one of Tennessee's toughest weight classes this coming season.

Coach of the Month

Rick Campbell - Fort Campbell High School / Ironman Wrestling Club

Rick Campbell of Clarksville, Tennessee played an important role in molding the young men who went to USA Wrestling Nationals in Fargo representing our state into Team Tennessee. As a member of our coaching staff, he was with us both at the training camp at Brentwood High and at Fargo. A pilot for the 160th SOAR stationed at Fort Campbell, Coach Campbell is an assistant coach for the Fort Campbell High School team and the Ironman Wrestling Club. His son, Brandon, a senior next year, is a two-time Kentucky state place winner and was a Team Tennessee member.
